What do we do on the trips?
While there, volunteers might play, work on craft projects, read with the children, help with a building project or simply hold an infant who needs love. We go down to share time, love and support. We travel to different homes on different months. The visits go by fast! We get to and from each home in a day’s drive.
Who can go?
Anyone can come along with us if they register and pay the $25.00 bus fee online but hurry, the busses sell out FAST. We welcome families, individuals or groups. If you don't know anyone when you arrive, you will know everyone when you leave. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent. If you are lucky enough to be under 18 years young, you MUST register online AND download a Under 18 Baja Trip Consent Form. Fax the form to CDV at 949-861-6853 and bring with you on trip day.. Download Consent Form.
What if I don't speak Spanish?
No worry, we always have a few people on our trips who speak Spanish. Plus some of the children can practice their English with you! For a printable list of some common Spanish phrases, click here...
